Cats do a pretty good job if they are hunters and mature, big enough, to handle the size. We have 3 that do a pretty good job at hunting down most of the rodent population and they are a lot more enjoyable to have around than bull snakes 😉
I've just used a few tablespoons of vinegar to 1:10 ratio of urine and water in gallon container. Tested it on a planting pot with potting soil compost mix that had a ph reading of almost 8. I added enough to moisten soil as if watering a tomato plant. I waited 15 minutes for the mix to be soaked up and measured the ph at approximately 6.5.
I will continue to monitor the test pot soil
