Why post your event at permies.com?

If you post your event at permies.com, your event is immediately viewable and the subject of the event is often browsed by over a hundred people each day. Further, events posted at permies.com are generally moved into the calendar at jocelynsevents.com three times per week. Events emailed to jocelynsevents.com can take several weeks to get into the calendar.

Since this is forum software, once your event is posted, the people that are interested in your event can comment and ask questions. If this happens, you will be sent an email to let you know that there are one or more comments about your event.

Once the event is posted, you can copy the URL at permies and offer it to others for their comments or discussion. Often times, doing this saves you a lot of work answering questions as the questions are directed to the group and frequently others are able to provide answers before you do. Further, people that have questions might find that their question has already been answered in the discussion thread. The discussion thread can also act as a place for people to arrange carpooling.

To submit your event

Step 1: If you aren't already registered, then you must register.

Step 2: If you are not currently logged in, then you must login.

If you click on the "profile" button near the top of the page you can set your signature to reflect your event and/or organization. Then participate in some of the other forums. Each post you make will have your signature and make far more people aware of you, your event and/or your organization.

In your profile, under "account related settings" you might wish to change the field that says "This is the displayed name that people will see." to be your actual first name, space and last name. This will help people to have more confidence in you, your event and your organization.
