117 hours.  That would mean something like 60 DVDs.   We would have to charge something like $5 per DVD at the lowest possible price - that would be about $300.

This offer is for HD streaming.  Once paid, you get access "forever"*

* = video access ends when the internet ends, or the world ends, or something like that.

I just now sent out a monthly-ish email and said:

I was a keynote speakers at Permaculture Voices 1.   It was, by far, the best permaculture event I have ever attended.  The best and brightest from all over the world came together. I got to meet dozens of my heroes.  For the next three years, all sorts of permaculture efforts were accelerated.

This was a highly technical conference.  The presentations were heavy, gritty and professionally put on.  The presentations by Willie Smits and Allan Savory changed my life!    I would very much like to see this annual event continue.   But, for whatever reason, it went for just three years.

If you get this video, not only do you supercharge your brain, but you send a message to conference developers everywhere that you want MORE!  And it would fuel a future of bringing these great minds together.  That you wish to see this level of professionalism in your permaculture events.

If you want to see this level of professionalism propel the world of permaculture ....    if you want this level of event to be videoed and processed so that thousands more can see it, you have to fuel this machine.   Vote with your dollar.

I suspect that if Diego did PV4 and sold 2000 tickets to the event, and 10,000 people bought the videos afterward, then it would be a rock solid certainty that there would be a PV5.  Plus, we might see a collection of similar permaculture events pop up.

And I know that for a lot of stuff i am involved in people cannot make it, so they ask for the video.   And then an enormous amount of money is dumped into getting everything videoed and edited and stuff and only a handful of people buy the video.

If you want lots of video of future permaculture events, you gotta buy the video of these events.   It sets a powerful precedent.  Rather than video stuff running in the red, the event creators get this idea of "half our income comes from ticket sales and the other half comes from the video!"

Would it be possible to get a time when the sale ends rather than just saying "the next 24 hours" for hours at a time? Call me cynical, but I have trouble trusting advertisements whose claims become demonstrably false with the passage of time. Thanks!

If you look at the posts above, on 1/11/2019 9:49:02 AM I said

I had a conversation with Diego and ...   okay folks, the price is hereby dropped to $99 for the next 72 hours!

Today at about 1 I said

Just 24 hours left!

To compound things further, the monthly-ish email takes about 8 hours to send out.  It should be done in about three hours.  And those emails say "24 hours".

So I suspect that the sale will end as early as 9am, and as late as 9pm.  tomorrow.

If diego says "9am" then he can change the price then.  If he lets it slide, then I will probably change it around 5.

Does this help?

Any chance we could get a downloadable file with all these videos in it? I watch these while commuting and they crush my data. I could screen capture them all but it would take significant time so a downloadable zip file would be really helpful. The MP3 suggestion would be nice too, but there's enough visuals in these that I'd really prefer a zipped download so I can load them directly on my phone. Any possibility of this?

It is a good suggestion, but not something that we can offer at this time.  For now they are only streaming.

I also had this problem until I disabled the cookie blocker plugin in my browser. In order to play the videos, your browser needs to be able to send a cookie to a third party (Vimeo) which could look like suspicious behavior to your browser, but it's legitimate in this case. So if you're using a cookie blocking plugin, disable it for the video pages and you should be in business.
