I'm definitely a fan of the honey-ginger type jerkies. Great snacks. A friend just sent me some jerky that was salted, and while it Will keep well, it's just not a very good snack. (perfect for soup he says).
So maybe you could try a few different recipes for different purposes.
mmm that sounds good! do you have any good recipes? a freind let me try some of hers made with venison, it was good and she is going to get me the recipe but it was a teryaki style. I would love to make a variety and Ilove ginger.
I borrowed a dehydrator from someone and checked permies for some jerky recipes. I'm surprised there are so few posts. Must be because jerky is just this and that with some type of liquid and let sit for a bit.
I like the last recipe from the link though. The lady says she's made her jerky by dehydrating in the oven with the pilot light on for 16 to 20 hours.
I didn't do it. You can't prove it. Nobody saw me. The sheep are lying! This tiny ad is my witness!
