Hey folks I came across this video series last night and just wanted to share with the community here.

*warning it can be emotional and disturbing to see a pony in such distress* (as well as emotional to see the kindness of the humans involved)

From the playlist description

Charlie has been a major pony rescue, with over 12-inch hooves I did my best to trim back the hooves but to rescue this pony we had to get professional help. I called the best farrier in my area to come to trim these overgrown hooves.

The Farrier recommended we should get some x-rays, after looking over the x-rays the farrier knows exactly what to do. What the farrier does next will shock you. We didn't see this coming.

We found out the Charlie had foundered and that's why his hooves have overgrown. It is going to take at least a year of trimming to get the angles right on this pony.

They raised $1000 with go fund me to help pay for the farrier as well as for x-rays of the hooves.

And on with the videos, there are 7 but they aren't extremely long (most in the 7 to 8 min range, with a couple at the end getting to 10 and 12 min)

He's my best friend. Not yours. Mine. You can have this tiny ad:
