Well, the bottom of the front page.

It's mostly about my kickstarter stuff, but there is also mention of rocket mass heaters and permaculture.

Stuff from the article:

My CFL
stuff

My rocket mass heater article.

What is permaculture

I would link to the article at the missoulian, but I don't see a way to do that.

Joe summarized the project - and you - well. With a nice pic to boot! He also included an excellent history of your software engineer career and your interest in permaculture and permies.

There's more!

First, there is the update where three of the four CFLs died, combined with my concern about environmentalists advocating CFLs

http://missoulian.com/lifestyles/territory/experiment-shows-cfls-don-t-last/article_fa7a42ba-332c-11e1-9eb8-0019bb2963f4.html

And then today there is a letter to the editor about my ignorance, bias, cluelessness, idiocy and need to read instructions:

http://missoulian.com/news/opinion/mailbag/fluorescent-lights-just-read-the-instructions/article_6c7cb91a-3ad0-11e1-91b6-0019bb2963f4.html

I've heard that this guy works at a hardware store. I'm thinking it would be fun to do a podcast with him on this. He can show me these instructions and tell me about how his power bill is so low.

I called the guy that wrote the letter. He now wishes to retract his letter.

I'm about ready to go back to the damn oil lamp with all this fuss about which lightbulb I should use.  And hey the oil lamp makes heat too.

And I could press oil seeds and not worry about what power plant is making murcury and all that jazz if you want something done right you gotta do it yourself. Especially in the world we live in.

But.... I will say that I really like LEDs even though they don't put out heat and they are kind of a shitty light spectrum like you've talked about. They last practically forever in my personal experience and hardly use any power compared to cfls and incandescents.
