It's a material that is extremely subject to UV degradation.  A lot of work to accidentally stumble against or hit with a rake and have it shatter.

A good learning experience, but maybe not in use for long.

I don't think it would last long either but it did make my brain spawn an idea to build a wall-o- water on a big scale for a green house....

Somewhere, sometime, I've seen an article where they did that, with vertical tubes of water.

I think in Solviva by Anna Edey, they used black tubes as solar collectors.
