Hi, I'm new around here- just started poking around after encountering a new mushroom in our yard while clearing brush. It is quite small and grows completely covered by dead leaves. It does not appear to be a parasitic mushroom, as it is growing directly on half-buried wood. I have gone through the Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest but haven't identified it yet. (Found south of Seattle, WA). So, shot in the dark here- has anyone seen something similar to this, or can point me in the right direction for an ID?
Thanks very much!

Well Erika, I think I have some of thoes here in the sierra Nevada at 6800ft, growing in the duff. There are several people on the west coast who know fungi very well I'll be watching to see what they come up with. Best of luck.

Erika, do you know what color the spores are? A spore print can be real helpful in this situation. Also a few more photos as the mushrooms mature might be helpful.

I agree. Here's the link: https://richsoil.com/wood-heat.jsp
