Does anyone have experience with red wattle hogs or meishan pigs

I have gone on the livestock conservancy many times and researched red wattle hogs as well as meishan hogs. I have read they do good in both pasture and in confined set ups. I have access to a small paddock but without irrigation the grass barely grows. so for me the best way to raise them would be on grain based with supplements of food waste from the kitchen. I have read these breeds also grow fast compared to other heritage breeds. but how fast would it take them to reach 200lbs I have tried looking on the breeder association sites but very scarce info was available and have reached out via email to some breeders but they haven't got back to me

Hi Alexander;  Welcome to Permies!

I am raising  red wattle cross pigs this year for the first time.  I got them on April 23, at 6 weeks old and they go to visit the butcher on September 11th. I expect hanging weight to be right around #200 at that time.
I use small rotational pens so they get some fresh grasses , although after a few day's  the new pen is rather torn up.
I feed grain , food grade diamatetious earth, and kitchen/garden  scraps. They also get many apples as one of the paddocks has an ancient mackintosh tree.
I buy 3000# of grain for 3 piggys, I usually have some left over.
The only observation I have about these red wattle piggys compared to other's, is they seem to be wild and crazy piggys ... running about ... barking... lots of rooting.
They are happy and healthy and are growing well.
