Working to form a symbiotic relationship with the forest instead of a ‘user’ mentality. With the limitations to urban dwellers, there’s a strong focus on improving the local woodlands, parks, and similar locations. Seek permission before starting any project on public land.

Do 1 of the following:
Seek out a permit to harvest wood from public lands.
Obtain permission from a land owner to remove several small to medium trees.
Point out problem trees, standing dead and/or areas that need thinned on your property.
Drop 6” to 8” dead standing tree with a bow saw
Drop 6" to 8" dead standing tree with a chainsaw
Drop 6” to 8” live tree with a bow saw
Drop 6" to 8" live tree with a chainsaw
Limb 4 trees
Peel 2 live trees and put up off the ground to dry
Do all of the following:
Find an individual in need of firewood (can be yourself).
Transport, split, and stack the standing dead wood from above as firewood for the selected individual.
Twig construction.
Innoculate 2 four-foot logs with mushroom spawn and harvest at least half a pound of mushroom spawn.
Prepare 10 junkpoles.
