It's 2am so I just thought I would do exactly that, now my current name is not the same as the forum name, I've gotten married since so the surname has changed. When I google myself I get two results in the first 5 pages that are me.  both are from Krak which is a combined googlemaps/phone directory for Denmark, one is my company and the other is me. so my address and phone number are of course there. But there is nothing else about me online that you can find from my name, you could guess my Facebook if you shorten my name but even that doesn't show up on a straight search. My name combo is obviously not very common as the first 5 pages do not hit anyone else with the name either.  (although facebook does pull up others).

So what wonders do you find when you google yourself? It can't be much less interesting than mine!

I'm a bit hidden due to a couple athletes having the same or similar name as mine Though there is one result for me on the first page related to the college I graduated from for my masters degree.

Marge Simpson thought googling yourself meant the other thing.

LOL! When I do google searches, I often specify that my name be excluded from the search results. I've been a prolific author about the topics that are most interesting to me... Bwah ha ha.

I find hundreds of photographs that I have put in this forum and I find many replies to various threads. Not much else since the majority of what I've ever written is within the forum. I do everything in my own name. I use my own phone number and address. I don't hide anything except for my password for my bank account.

If somebody wants to kill me, all they have to do is phone me up, and tell me they have a bunch of free building materials in some desolate location, and I will show up alone. I'm just not going to live in fear of the internet.

This stuff is all discoverable for well known celebrities and politicians , so my guess is that nut jobs, will go after them instead of me.
........
I often find extremely insightful answers to pressing questions, only to discover that I authored them. It's nice to find something you agree with. It can be worse than the way Facebook tailors things to fit with a person's previous activity.

Ooh, I hadn't googled myself for several years. Thanks, because you reminded me to do this, I found a college paper by one of our volunteers a couple of years ago. Nice!

If I google my full name along with the word Ladakh, I get pages of results that are about me, but if I google just my full name, I see several pages of results that aren't.

My name is incredibly common so I don't show up at all. There is another girl in my small home town with the same name as me. They used to mess up our prescription glasses all the time.

You ridiculous clown, did you think you could get away with it? This is my favorite tiny ad!
