The picture doesn’t quite do it justice, but it sure was spectacular this morning. And yes, storm to follow this afternooon!

I love pictures of sunrises.  Good shot.  If you took this with s phone, then there is probably not much you could have done to change the outcome.  I, too, love to take pictures of sunrises and if I take one with my dslr, then I can adjust the white and color balance so that the brilliant reds, oranges and pinks don’t get washed out.

Good picture nonetheless, and even better, I love the fact that you can appreciate the sight.

Eric, yes, taken with a phone. Have never taken the time/spent the money to dive into anything more than point and shoot, but good to know there are ways to capture these sights better. Someday...

Although sometimes, the sunrises and sunsets are so beautiful, I think nobody would believe they are real if my photography actually captured how it looks.

Artie,

I know that feeling.  Those sights are just so beautiful!  I have had some luck with a couple of photo editors that can restore some of the color.  Faststone is a freebie that I like a lot and use frequently for quick edits.  It is surprisingly powerful, and it has a handy white balance tool.  Adobe Lightroom can really do some magic. Unfortunately, these will only restore what little color is left in the picture and is no substitute for the actual exposure controls.
