We lived so long without electricity of any kind...no utilities and no solar, that I think that is why these books peaked my interest when I ran across them.  I found the inner workings of vacuum tubes fascinating and just the explanations and formulas a mystery to solve in themselves.  I spent a lot of time working my way through the early lessons...'repaired' some old tube radios and speakers and now the books have been sitting for 20-30 years...time flies and I don't retain information very well so most of what I learned is gone but I do remember liking the way things were laid out and taught in the manuals.

The copyright on the materials for the course itself is 1956 and the additional small Allied books say 1964 and '65.
The course begins quite basic and has information that would apply to more than just 'tv's, radio and radar'.

Illustrated with many 'foldouts'....and clear information...much of which would be useful even now.

The the hardback of tv, etc. repair (1954) and the 'wiring simplified' (copyright 1941) I found elsewhere along the way...they were not part of the course but similar time frame.

I wish I had room for these! The older books tend to have so much more useful hands-on information than the newer ones do.

I've decided to keep this set rather than wait in suspense with them piled here in the living room.
Maybe in my eighties I'll decide to study this again

Back on the shelves they go.....
