Hello. My recently married wife and I(mid 30s, late 20s) are here in northern Idaho(Bonners Ferry) after some immigration to Canada set backs. We are both Permies with plans and land to start a sustainable farm of our own in eastern Canada. We don't know anyone here, and are looking for a farm or liked minded people to work and stay with for a month ASAP, while we sort this set back out. We are materially and financially self contained and we are willing to work and pay for even just a place to park our truck and small trailer to stay in. This will only be for a month and we have everything we need to live accept a place to park our camper. We both are very outgoing and enthusiastic people. We don't smoke, drink or eat meat, but we've got a couple good jokes. I haven't been unable to find any WOOFing information connected to this area. Does anybody have any ideas or resources? Thanks. Hello there, Hugh,
I'd like to share with you that there are campgrounds such as KOA and ?? which offer work/trade for a camping space, electric and WIFI, etc. I knew some folks who lived at a KOA in New Mexico for six months. They cleaned the bathrooms and picked up around the campground (10 hours a week for exchange).
I hope this helps until something else comes along for you. Or you make it to Canada.
