Guys I have 5 acres - 3 acres is covered in a native called Imperata cylindrica, ( blady grass ).

You slash it just returns,it’s a fire hazard & just so strong.
I want it gone & wonder if anyone knows if goats or alpacas eat it ?

I just looked it up . . . wow, I'd never heard of it before.  What a nightmare.  If you try to burn it, I just comes back stronger and outcompetes anything else that might be growing.

It's got a high silica content, so even goats won't eat it once it begins to mature.  I suppose you could mow it down and then put goats on it as it comes back.
