19 skiddable structure microdoc by paul wheaton skiddable beehut, animal shelters, outhouses

You can get this microdoc HERE through our dailyish freebies!

Here's some more about the microdoc:

This 36 minute long microdoc is about small skiddable structures, at Paul's previous property on Mount Spokane, as well as at Wheaton Labs in Montana. There's lots of commentary about the various skiddable structures.

If you don't like emails (we get that, though we're bummed!), you can buy it right HERE!

Are there any BC, Canada farmers out there who know what the size limits for no-permit-needed skiddable structures are here? I've asked a friend to make some polite enquiries, but I sure don't want to advertise my devious plans by making the enquiry myself!

What's the largest footprint of a skiddable structure people know about?

Excellent micro-doc! As you can tell, it's given me "ideas".

Testing.. will a shorter reply work? Apparently..now lets see if my original reply can be added..

Do you have farm status?

Per the RDN(Nanaimo area) website:
'Farm Buildings on land designated for agricultural use and with farm status under the Assessment Act (note: farm buildings must comply with the requirements of the National Farm Building Code and the applicable zoning regulations [e.g., setbacks] for the property)'

In practice, I think this is the norm on the island and perhaps the province.. though maybe not vancouver area? And, nobody is in charge of enforcing the national farm building code around here. So, foundation or not, it can be as big as it needs to be, if you have farm status..

If no farm status and skiddable... grey area. On wheels you are safe. On skids I think mostly 'they' might try and enforce the need for permits over 10M max footprint same as fixed structures..
