We know that cow and horse manure has to be composted or else it is too hot. Rabbit manure doesn't have to be. Does anyone know about deer poop? I seem to have an abundance of it this year, but I can't figure out what happened to my rhodendron leaves, azalea buds and the cyprus ornamentals.

It's cold...like rabbits and sheep. Doesn't have to be composted.

Thank-you Jay, I'd better get out my scoop and pail.

WOW! You must have plenty deer! Hope you have a way of keeping them off the garden they are fertilizing!

wild rabbit deer and birds have been our main source of manure for years but it appears maybe the new neighbors have been poaching deer, we haven't seen any for a while and we had the mildest winter on record here, there should be tons of them
