Truly all of the worst case sci-fi end of world dysutopian scenarios are coming true. What is it in humans that we can watch our enviroment and own bodies decay and continue repeating the same actions unto death. I see it in my career as nurse , people eating , smoking and lounging themselves to the point of decay. Nurses watching someone smother and suffer on their death beds from emphysema and then go take a smoke break. My neighbors have stopped plowing but the glycophosphate and disking leave the ground denuded. All the alternatives for healthy bodies and ecosystem are in our reach , but onward we go. I personally believe that our modern society has sheltered and nurtured those individuals {and their DNA } who, in a more primitive era , would have been eaten by bears.
