From July 2023: a pair of young bucks enjoy the "Deer Highway" in the Lab.

(this is a big picture, 1500pix wide... Sorry!)

From November 2023... More wildlife caught on the trail cams up at the Lab property.

Wild turkeys seek refuge from holiday hunters.

A herd of elk, down from the higher mountains and seeking food near the pond.

A pair of younger and elder bucks by the "deer highway."

Animals up at the Lab during December 2023. I preserved the time stamps for future reference.

The one picture from the area around the pond this month. Maybe this is a young elk? The date reads 25th December... Maybe this is Krampus?

Three amigos crossing the road that leads to Cooper Cabin.

Two snapshots of what I think may be the same animal. Maybe a neighbour's dog? Small enough to be a fox? Could it be a coyote?

Finally: a young deer crosses the road near the front gate to the Lab, looking like it definitely has some place to go.

Seems like there's plenty of life scattered throughout the Lab this time of year, surprising because it's easy to think that when the plants go dormant so would everything else. These trail cams provide evidence that this isn't the case at all.

From late June and July 2024, here are a pair of extreme close-ups: both at the Pond at the Lab.

From August 2024. Seems like the camera up at the Pond is a popular spot for selfies...
