Has anyone ever pickled just garlic scapes? I have put them in kim chee, but right now I have so many scapes I would like to pickle them on their own. I would be happy to try lacto-fermented or vinegar-based pickles.
There's garlic scape pickles threads here somewhere, but I can't find them.
We mostly grow softneck in our climate and all the commercial scapes I've seen come all the way from China. Boggles my mind!
I pickle Garlic Scapes.. I found a recipe here -> http://blog.dakeynefarm.com/?p=85 My Garlic obsessed other half uses them in wraps or on sandwiches, when he is not eating them straight out of the jar.
