I knew how to make tea from the needles, but I didn't know the four ways that pine could save my life. He says three, but he explains four: the tea as an expectorant to calm down a strep throat, the pitch as an anticoagulant to stop bleeding, the small male cones as a survival food, and using the cone by removing the woody outer layer, then breathing around it, which lowers heart rate and respiration, and dilates the lungs, and is an excellent way to stop smoking. Thanks very much for posting this.
