Does anyone know where I can find metal coffee cans? There is a restaurant that gets there diced tomatoes in #10 cans. Trying to think of other places that I can get metal cans from.

Some restaurants
Painters or painter supply stores
Roofing companies (tar)

restaurants, pizza places especially, Papa Johns pizza at least used to get their sauce in #10 cans
Recycle bins, or recycle collection points
School or church cafeterias, soup kitchen

When dealing with food trash, take a hooked stick to poke with, and wear gloves, those are gross trash bins.
My dumpster pack has gloves, paper towel, bags to put stuff in, water to wash with, hand sanitizer, band aids etc.
I had a cop tell me "You ARE doing this carefully, aren't you?" Yup. He was worried I was either starving or being a problem. I told him all about the things I was getting out of that one, how I'm using them to redo my kitchen... He decided I was eccentric and gave up :)

I get metal coffee cans at Sam's club.  It is their house brand "Members Mark".  If you are not a member maybe you know someone who shops there.

They are bigger than a #10 can.

I have also bought smaller 1 pound cans of "Clover Valley" coffee at Dollar General and the local grocery's house brand.

Usually, there is a bulk aisle at the local grocery store that has #10 cans for tomato sauce, etc.

Depending on the intended use, I would burn out and scrub (sand) the coating on the inside of tomato tins.
