I am having trouble with one of these programs needing more ram. Technically, I have enough ram, but there are things working in the background of windows that use it up. Auto-updating this and that. It sucks. (I can't add more ram to this machine)
It used to be I could open windows in simple or safe mode. Where it has only the basic applications you need to do what is needed.
Is there a way to open windows 10 in safe mode so I can edit videos easier? I can even unplug the internet so that I can turn off my virus checker.
Hmm, I think stopping services and drivers to troubleshoot and those drivers and services include video-related settings and functions. But you can follow the steps to perform a clean boot found on this page and see if that helps.
The holy trinity of wholesomeness: Fred Rogers - be kind to others; Steve Irwin - be kind to animals; Bob Ross - be kind to yourself
Can one still make different profiles on windows? You sign in and there are different settings and permissions?
I could make one for video editing. I would unplug the internet cable before logging in and it wouldn't have all these background tasks like antivirus checker because I wouldn't be doing online stuff?
Is that still a thing in windows 10?
If so, what words do I give google to find out how?
