Best variety of mango tree plant in SoCal on the lawn.

We got rid of the Bradford in our front because, well, it kept dropping branches. I'm considering growing a mango tree in the spot where it used to be. What are some varieties that will grow well in inland regions of SoCal, wide and tall-ish, and grow on the lawn with some clearance?
