Hi everyone! I'm new here and new to (urban) permiculture. I recently moved to small town New Brunswick from Toronto to live a more sustainable and intentional life. I work in holistic healthcare and wanted out of the rat race. Love this site and learning about all things sustainable. I'm extremely independent but still hoping to find a compatable man and am hoping this is the year. I know travel is restricted right now but where there's a will there's a way. That could actually be my mantra. I'm looking for like minded friends and hope to meet my best friend ❤🙏. Someone to rail against the machine with. Or just to watch the fire with.

heya - i read your story and checked out your website - i am firmly behind what you are trying to do!! i like your HOPE not DOPE approach if an ingredient has a lot of Zs, Xs or number in it or i can't pronounce it - i try to stay away ;-)

i am not looking for a partner but i am in cape breton and am an avid seed saver so i would be happy to send you some seed that do well in the maritimes if you are looking to start a garden to support your work!

Hi Michelle.

I'm also from Ontario, and lived in Toronto for several decades while pursuing a career in arts and arts admin.  I'm now living to 80 acres not far south of you near Grand Falls, New Brunswick.  I'm interested in becoming self-sustaining, and have been on FarmLink.net, trying to attract a young farmer to create a permaculture market garden enterprise here (without much luck so far).

I have two horses here at the moment, as well as my trusty dog Dax, and will get chickens for sure in the Spring.  I'd like to get a pair of goats and a pair of pigs in the future, as well.  You can see a bit about my 'farmstead' on Facebook at Anima Mundi Homestead.

What sort of holistic medicine do you work with?  I am an acupuncturist / herbalist.  I have a small clinic in town and am bulding a homestead and eventual retreat on a large swath of land in rural NY State.  I've decided to try this section to search for friends / companions to do homesteading with, but am also in search of an holistic medicine assistant.

Liked your post. You sure picked a pretty area. I'm in the 48, N.E. New Mexico on 140 acres. Off grid and still much to do I've been working on everything by myself for 2 years. I've studied holistics for most my life and at 45 still learning so much. It'd be nice to know more people into holistic medicines.
