Pretty Birdy

I saw this fella and his partner the other day while out shopping.  

Sorry about the camerawork, but I only had my dinky pocket camera with me.  But the birds are pretty.



I think they are American Kestrels but I could be wrong.  First time seeing these guys.

I would go back with a better camera, but I don't want to disturb their nesting site.

That is a pretty bird! I have not seen any kestrels here - the closest thing I've seen was a Sharp-shinned Hawk hanging out by my bird feeder.
