Looks like a great book for me to buy once I am back. I am taking PDC in a week. Any suggestions how to prepare for it and to take a better advantage of the opportunity. I am taking it with Bill and Geoff in Australia.

Hi Dig,

Chances are you'll be spending quite a bit of time in a lecture theatre, which isn't quite our style here in Britain. So whatever it takes for you to stay conscious and not miss anything as the information will come thick and fast. For some folks that means coffee...

Get yourself a good sized notepad and a few pens and maybe learn to mindmap if that's new to you. A camera can provide a good backup for notes if you photograph the boards and you could even take a voice recorder to get a backup of the audio you could listen to again later (the principle of redundancy!).

Don't be afraid to ask questions - you may never get another chance to meet these guys and Bill in particular is looking pretty frail these days.

Take the time to talk to others on the course and get to know each other - your permaculture network is perhaps the most precious thing you have.

And have a great time!

Coffee works for me. Thanks for all the advice. I look forward to reading your book.
