Hi there!

How are y'all? To those of you who don't know me yet, I'm located in South Africa and just about to move to my first proper homestead.

Thus far, I've been an urban homesteader raising chickens, quails, rabbits, and vegetables within the limits imposed by the city (and some mighty annoying neighbors).πŸ“

Now that I'm moving to a bigger property, I'd like to plant certain trees with edible nuts, etc... Like some of the edible oaks, pines, etc. There's also a few species that I'd like for use in weaving, or simply for their symbolism, like white and black willow and rowan trees.πŸ€πŸŒΏ

Unfortunately, the seeds for some of the species I'm looking for aren't readily available in my country. I was wondering if anyone on here would be willing to FedEx (our postal service is REALLY BAD) me some of the seeds I'm looking for if I paid shipping, or would be interested in a swap for some seeds from this side of the pond?

Thank you in advance. ☺️

We really need to know the growing conditions to match seeds from those conditions.  The type of dirt or soil, the depth of ground water the roots have to reach for, the length of wet and dry seasons and temperature,  all affect what will thrive and produce food for you. To save time you can fill out that information in the profile link at the top of the page then it will appear with your name each time you post.

permaculture is largely about replacing oil with people. And one tiny ad:
Switching from electric heat to a rocket mass heater reduces your carbon footprint as much as parking 7 cars
