I bought my camera on July 06 2012. Since that day, I've taken thousands of photos. Most of my efforts have concerned pollinators and wildlife. In the process, many flowers and other plants have caught my attention.

Sometimes, the bees or wasps have been too quick for me and the resultant photo is one of a flower. So, I'm making lemonade as the old saying goes.

I will make no effort to categorize or name most things since I am no expert in that field. Hopefully, some of you will answer identification questions that come up.

The first 21 photos were taken on my first day with the camera. Today makes it exactly 3 months since these first shots. I will return to the same gardens today where seed pods will have replaced most of the blooms.

Along with flowers, I will also include some sweeping landscape photos and plants that are not in flower.

I hope you enjoy this photo album. Feel free to insert your own. Thank you: Dale

This concludes submissions representing my first day with a decent camera. There were another 220 that I didn't show. I stopped clicking when the battery died. I'm glad I bought a model with a built in rechargable battery pack.

I got to the garden in the morning, shortly after the sprinklers had sprayed the herb garden. Some plants repel water better than a coated windshield. Each drop is a separate little world.

As the day wore on, I became hungry, so I brought forth these giant juniper berries which I shared with everyone at the park. Now they won't stop following me around. They're outside my window right now !!! An old naked guy who lives in the tool shed is really mad at me.

Same day. The second photo could have been in a vase arrangement.

Later that day, I started messing with the colour and contrast to produce some really nice effects.

I'm going to start giving these names just like is done with paintings. I've slaved over a warm keyboard for up to five minutes on some of these masterpieces !!!

I call the second one "The Gate to Hell" . Look at all of the blood.

I returned to this little pond several times during the summer. In mid July, the water lillies were at their peak. Unfortunately, I didn't learn the importance of shutter speed until late August.

I went to my grandmother's funeral on Oct. 13 (94 pretty good years) and on the way back decided to stop at Goldstream park. It's the beginning of the rainy season but still nice and warm.
