Summary: This December, Taino Farms will host Doug to facilitate an intensive and extended introduction to permaculture, followed by a two week informal planning and design phase. Students will have the opportunity to learn about permaculture design and implementation. We will work together to create an Official Farm Plan for Taino Farms based on permaculture design principals and the patterns of nature. This will take place organically throughout the eight-day course and will continue afterwards for about two weeks. This course will be put on through our unique facilitation style and open source resource philosophy.
Add-on Design Phase Students are welcomed to stay on to develop their design and planning skills over an additional two week period. It’s a great opportunity to work with a professional and start the implementation process. This portion of the course is optional and is will have a very natural and laid back flow.
Our aim as Permaculture trainers is to creatively facilitate a learning process that empowers people in Permaculture design through experiential learning and hands-on training. Each student completes the course with a site design and presentation based on the skills and knowledge accumulated throughout the two weeks.
