Hello—

Posted about this project previously, but working on building a house and looking for a consult... wonder if there are any folks in here around Central VT, or know folks in this area they might recommend who could consult.

Backstory: sort of unusual design, it's a ~1200 square foot timber frame/stone house. It was started before I got here and we've continued it, but the disjointed timeline has made the house a little wonky. Framing is all done but some joints don't look so great, things like that. I've been wondering about making changes, including taking down some framing, before continuing, so as to get ahead of problems that could arise later.

But, hoping to get input from someone with more experience than I / a good eye for building before doing that. So any name recommendations are welcome. Alternatively, if any folks are at a distance but are curious, reach out and we can talk and maybe I can share some photos etc remotely.  Thanks!

If you post some photos here, some of us may be able to advise at least partially. Photos of areas you are concerned about with descriptions, as well as overall, would help.

These folks were recommended on the Northeast Permaculture group recently.  They looks pretty amazing and if you want to hire someone to have a look, maybe they'd be a good option.

Sounds like a great project!

Thank you! Have a book two of them wrote actually. I may try and reach out but bet they're in super high demand.

This. Exactly this. This is what my therapist has been talking about. And now with a tiny ad:
the permaculture bootcamp in winter (plus half-assed holidays)
