lol, my wife hates cilantro, and we live in Costa Rica, where they even put it in Chinese food, and pizza, I kid you not.

Well it is traditional in Chinese and East Indian cuisine. Pizza , that is just Hyper-modern. There is a Lebanese version of cottage fries that tosses in cilantro and garlic at the end. I have used it in kim-chee recipes. It used to be refered to as Chinese Parsley. Mrs. Grieve says it grows wild in England in the " Waste places". I always love the label "carminative" in the Herbals . Like we need more of that. We should have an anti-carminative. Sometimes a little repression is good.

I thought I didn't like cilantro (I thought it tasted like stink bugs smell) until we grew our own and were able to harvest young leaves. I find it is milder flavored and bolts less quickly if I scatter seed late summer and harvest over the winter.

I like cilantro, but feel that many people use way too much of it.
It should not be the dominant taste in the dish, just an accent.

(I see the same mistreatment of rosemary & oregano in some Italian cooking. Too much ruins the meal.)

i generally speaking like cilantro but the one plant that managed to grow this year was quite spicy...

since it seems to be genetic, wonder if it passes with the Y chromosome.

would be interesting to see if it is an "anti-vegetarian" selector.

also check for cholesterol sensitivity selectors.

might be a simple test.

Mmmmm I love Cilantro. It is probably my favorite culinary herb. I feel bad for those that can't enjoy it.
