Hi, Luna!

I would recommend two YouTube channels for you.  One is Huw Richards.  He's in Wales, but he started his YouTube channel when he was twelve (he's now in his early to mid-twenties, I think).  I suspect his YouTube gardening channel may be most of his income now!

The other gardening YouTube channel I recommend is David the Good.  He's a bit odd sometimes (like any of us have any room to talk, LOL!), but he has gardened in Florida most of his life, starting out in south Florida.  He's in southern Alabama now, but you could still get a lot out of his videos.  He talks about what to grow in that soil and climate, and how to grow it.

My youngest daughter (who is now 44) is autistic, too.  She's pretty severely handicapped, so doesn't post, but I sometimes amuse her by reading something from here, or showing her pictures.  Don't worry about being autistic -- we know what it's like, and are glad to have you here.

And, just a thought, but the best thing that has helped my daughter was making some drastic changes to her diet.  Basically, all we eat now is meat.  She doesn't tolerate eggs (and I don't tolerate cow dairy).  We are both in much less pain, and much more functional, and she is a much happier person than she had been for a long time.  Worth a try!

Lots of things in the world are frightening. One of the things we need to understand is risk. Immediate danger like a car running straight at us, or a future problem like getting cancer or the loss of the tropical rain forests. Some things we can control, other things we can't.
On permies we tend not to discuss some of the bigger issues that we can't always agree on - like religion and politics.  (Check out how permies works if you need to) When people have earnt the right by having a history of being nice then we have a section called the cider press where these sort of things can be discussed. Mostly we just concentrate on things we can do - in our own backyards.
If you have a specific thing you think we can help with then personal challenges might be a place for a new thread. If it is a threat to you now, then I would suggest you maybe telephone a local friend not discuss it on the internet.

Being scared is a normal part of being human. I try to do the permie thing and use what I've got. If it's one of those big vague can't-do-much-about-it-right-now sorts of fears (like a big incoming storm) I'll do what I can to prepare, but once that's done? I'll use that energy. Maybe go move some heavy things, or dig, take a walk around my neighborhood, maybe help a neighbor with something that takes two people.

Thanks for showing us some cool things in your pictures.

Its okay to be scared.  I think everyone gets scared sometimes, I know I do.  I hope that you can talk to someone in your life, like maybe your mom or someone, about it.

Be welcome.

We will try to be always helpful and nice. If you ever feel unconfortable just say it, pretty much everyone around here wants to be nice but sometimes we hurt people without knowing.

If it's something that falls into this category, please look for help within your local support spaces, as on the internet is not the best space to support someone who's having issues in their personal life. School Counselors if you have one available at your High School can be a safe resource. Keep in mind they are mandatory reporters.

There are also a number of online support structures:

Take the Crisis Text Line, which is a nonprofit offering mental health support.
Crisis Text Line is a global nonprofit organization providing free and confidential text-based mental health support and crisis intervention by texting HOME to 741741. The organization launched in 2013, and its services are available 24 hours a day throughout the United States, Canada, UK, and Ireland.

They also offer support for youths who are in school.
Whether students are feeling the long-term effects of social isolation, grieving over missed proms/graduations/games, or are worried about their family, we’re here to help. Anyone can text SCHOOL to 741741 to connect with a Crisis Counselor. Totally free, 24/7.

There is an organization that offers safe places for youths as well. More information can be found below:
https://www.nationalsafeplace.org/how-does-safe-place-work
Youth may also TXT 4 HELP to receive information about the closest Safe Place location and chat with a professional for more help. TXT 4 HELP is a nationwide, 24-hour text-for-support service for youth in crisis.

That being said, if it's a gardening issue, what's troubling you? Are you running into fear on how to plan out the garden?

Feeling overwhelmed when planning things out is a very normal thing, and it can difficult to start with. Breaking things down into the smallest steps you can take helps cope with the overwhelm.
