Hi permies,

My girlfriend and myself are looking for interesting projects to participate in in Argentina, paraguay or uruguay.
Our main goal is learning by experience and we have the dream to start or participate in a permaculture lifestyle in the future.
So, do you know anything good in the area, everything where we can learn or experience, let us please know!!

Thanks very much
Koen

Hi, I live in Uruguay. I have not gotten together with any of these, but there are permaculture groups and courses. Here are some links:

I don't know how good you Spanish is, but I would guess that at least few of these folks can communicate in English pretty well.

Check out www.mamaroja.org

They're not *expressly* permaculturists but it looks like they have a great thing going on. They're near Obera, Missiones (NE) and they do lots of community work, building, etc.

Good luck!

Hi guys,

any updates on this topic?

My boyfriend and I we're in almost identical situation - any places in northern Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay or maybe Boliwia?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
Ola

The Bullock brothers recommended I check out Huerta de Vida in Mendoza (NE Arg) area --> http://huertadevida.blogspot.com.ar/
I have been in contact with them and will visit in late March. It sounds like they are pretty open to being more flexible with people visiting out of their set schedule as well.

In northern Argentina you'll want to check out Ecovilla Gaia, about 1.5 hours west of the capital, Buenos Aires. They have a website, several of the people there speak English, they do PDC's and other workshops regularly, they have room for interns.

If you're willing to go to Patagonia, at the 42nd parallel in El Bolson is CIDEP, another permaculture community that offers PDC's, and many other farms in that area.

I've read about this kind of thing at the checkout counter. That's where I met this tiny ad:
