Seeking a Christian  family (born again, Christian focused, spirit filled) family who homeschools, desires off grid lifestyle with focus on organic gardening,  livestock raising,  natural medicine, traditional living, permaculture who would be able to provide skills, experience and labor to build small home, barn, shop and water development in exchange for 5 acres of wooded, raw rural property with almost no regulations in great community in Southern Ozarks region. We are a Christ centered, blue collar traditional family, just starting our off grid life. We have skills in many areas of this lifestyle but not in building and find that we need help and would like  the added community of another family with homeschooled children to interact with and work with t o build a solid community. Traditional living, America first, patriotic, no chemical, non organic pesticides,  herbicides, vaccines ..animals or people. Perhaps y ou are seeking this lifestyle but are not financially able to buy land.. Perhaps you are like us and would like another family with similar values, beliefs and focus to work with and need others who have skills and knowledge to help you while you bring them skills and knowledge they need.

Hi Lyn,
While I am not in a position to move right now (and to be honest, I like all 4 seasons here in the Northeast), this is a really cool idea, and I wish you the best of luck. Different time, different place, I might have considered it.

Thank you for offering this opportunity, and I hope you find a good fit for what could be a mutually beneficial situation. I am also searching for help, and hope to attract folks who for one reason or another are unable to own land of their own. Have a great day, and best wishes to you and yours..

Shalom,

I am a Christian carpenter/ jack of most trades (15+yrs) iso place to serve , and also meet my basic needs, here in NE FL, or anywhere near the East Coast, until I move over seas. My current financial means are meager but my work ethic is not. I would gladly give my labors abundantly. And, if someone wants to gift me a vehicle that'd be good too. If not, I'd still donate my labor to those in need or for room and board. I do prefer to abide in my tent or private lodging , even very humble lodging with peace.
Hope this finds you well. My email is genuineone@protonmail.com.

Genuinely,

Lyn Hod

Hello, I'm Joshua Barfield.  I'm interested in your idea.  I'm a family of 8.  We have 3 boys and 3 girls.  We are a Christian family and do Homeschool.  I don't know much about Missouri but am super curious about the area and what could be done there.  If this property and opportunity is still available I would like to see pictures of the property and see what all you need help with and also what it looks like.  Does the address your at get shipping?  Like amazon, UPS, Fedex and such, for the sake of getting some things shipped.  You can reach me at joshuaraybarfield@gmail.com

I am assuming that you will pass the land ownership title to these people?

No family can live off 5 acres, especially if you also need to get firewood off there.

For future generations the 5 acres would not be enough.

What would prevent you from taking advantage of their labour

Hi Lyn,
My name is Mark and I am an experienced builder who is interested in bartering my skills in exchange for a place to park my RV. My wife Robin and I are born-again Christians who seek to live off grid. I believe that we would be a valuable asset to your community both spiritually and physically. We look forward to hearing from you. You may text me at 531-289-8215. Thank you.

                                               God bless,

Hello Lyn Hod!

My name is Mark Steagall. I have 5+ years of gardening and 4 years livestock experience as well as having a library of information on different trades that I have experience in. I currently own my own landscaping, garden, and tree service business. My wife and I are pursuing a live on-site work/trade position or landshare opportunity. We are traditionalist followers of Jesus Christ and are also pro-organic, anti-vax, and into homeopathic/naturopathic remedies. I specialize in low-budget survival gardening. If interested, please call/text Mark at Mowers&Growers 928-641-8565. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Mark Steagall

Same.  When I was younger, I'd have considered this.  But now?  I've been a hermit for so long I couldn't do communal living except with perhaps one other like-minded person.  Besides, I'm utterly useless when it comes to bargaining or bartering.  If I see someone with a need and I can meet it, I give them what they need and don't want anything in return.  It's not that I don't believe in bartering, or I definitely don't want to imply that I'm a really great guy.  I'm nice, but I'm the farthest person from perfect I know.  It's just that being a bible believing Christian with 40+ years of experience seeing the truth of the scriptures first hand, it's become my nature to see a need and meet it without expectation.

To prove I know I'm NOT perfect:  Why wouldn't communal living work for me?  Mostly because I'm at the point in my life where I can't, and don't, tolerate nonsense and foolishness.  (Especially hypocrisy.)  I address it.  Folks don't like that.  Common sense, logic and reason are no longer the norm because they're not taught in schools anymore.  Feelings and emotions are.  But those things aren't facts.  Most folks go with the very first thought that comes to their head and don't bother scratching below the surface to examine it.  They have a thought and that's what they run with.  I have all the patience in the world for folks who are trying and learning.  I can't sit and watch you try to tie your shoes for three hours and finally realize that you're not wearing any.  That's easy.  I just don't have patience or tolerance for verbal diarrhea spewed from unexamined thoughts anymore.

I sure hope this family found what they were looking for.  It'll learn you to not be an old hermit like me!
