I loved my Royal Palms but they seemed to be a magnet for trouble. My advice is to make sure you have very secure predator proof housing, especially if you hope to have chicks. Mine were good about hatching eggs but it was impossible for me to raise any of the babies to maturity, they kept finding ways to die or get killed. My tom jumped from a high perch and injured his leg but I think this was truly an unusual accident since these are small turkeys who like to roost in trees.

Otherwise I think they are lovely birds and I wish I had done better by them. I might try again some day when I have better housing for them. Best of luck to you and your turks!

I hope mine are friendly, I would like for them to follow us around and kind be like dog's, I here that some are like that. Any tips on making them friendly and trusting?

feed them and don't try to grab them or hug them. pretty simple. the guy might always treat you as competition, but maybe not.
