Last night it cleared off and we have a brisk -18 F this morning.
Just over 2' of new snow and today is starting out glorious!
The next snowstorm is due to arrive tomorrow...
Luckily for us, we live part way up the mountain in a sheltered valley, and everything is calm.
3/4 of a mile away, down by the river it is -22 F with wind-blown snow.
The house
wood stove is burning nicely.
The old cook stove in the kitchen is burning as well.
The
RMH is lit in the
greenhouse, where it was 42 F this morning with no fire all night and currently is 63 F and rising.
I'm sitting in my comfy chair next to the
wood stove, hot
coffee in hand, cruising Permies on the laptop.
Enjoying one of my favorite wintertime things ... My window is open an inch or two directly behind me...
Awesome cold clean air coming down from 6000' flows in and creates a perfect little micro-climate at my comfy chair...
Isn't Life grand!
