I just had an interesting experience with Discover Card. Discover card recognizes my phone number, which speeds the identification process. I called in to pay my bill off like I do every month, and I realized that the computer connected me to the wrong account. I hung up, and I called again. This time I was connected to my account.

That is so not cool. ("They have one job!") And this is why I pay extra, when they make me, for paper bills and bank statements, and why I mail creditors and vendors physical checks. I may be old-fashioned, but there is a paper trail that can be followed if weird stuff like this happens.

Yeah, I don't pay anything by phone. If I do I ask for a real person. I can't guaranty that who I talk to is a real person though it makes me feel better.

I just like going online to do things like that.
