I went out to feed this evening and found our billy goat COVERED in blood. His previous owners did not properly disbud him, so he grows these goofy little horns that get pretty long, but they don't get good enough blood flow to stay intact. A minor impact knocks the horn off and he bleeds a little bit, then it regrows. This time, however, he knocked it off and it is bleeding profusely. A vet visit is out of the question at this point, as I do not have the funds to pay a vet to doctor a free goat. I am pretty good at home vet care, but this is a new one for me. What do I do?
