Folks, for those that have gone before (Peter for sure) I would like a quick review
I am wondering (hoping) that with my present fire brick, this is the least amount of cutting and perhaps the best layout of brick lines I have come up with for "my" situation. I have made several stoves in the past but always 6" This is for a 7" stove. I am a strong believer in staying as close to known working dimensions as possible i.e. published for Peter and his excellent work. I can easily cut all of my fire brick to length, but much harder if I have to cut length wise. (long cuts)
With that in mind, my port dimensions are right on, depth is within specs.. so just wondering on the slightly wider, slightly taller specs as shown in the photo. The first number is what it would be if I build, with little cutting, the second is the recommended dimension.
I am building this in a large single bell like Peters, that I can stay within published specs pretty well. (within 1%)
Am taking photos along the way, if it works well I will publish, if not, "well it is going to work, because it is so darn close to known working stoves, I have to believe)
