I'm sure almost everyone had seen this movie. Can you imagine what the world will be like if there were no liars? Yes, we teach our kids everyday not to lie but can you picture yourself, not lying all the time? People tend to correct people but it seems hard to correct their selves first. Ask yourselves this, can I be an honest to God person all the time or should lying be tolerated because in some cases lying is essential for it is, as they say, "human nature"?

I am not sure I remember what the movie was about. It has been a long time.

On the other hand I think the world would be very different if everybody was always telling the truth. I cannot help to think it would be a better world. I know there is the saying that not all truths are good to tell, but I like to think that actually all truths are good to say, only they have to be said the right way.

If you want a good read on the same subject I would suggest The Truth Machine by James Halperin. What would happen if there was a machine that was 100 percent infallible on whether you were lying or telling the truth that was used by everyone. Job interview, marriage, contracts, murder trial, advertising.

If we still did wrong but just could not lie about it, then I think that we would keep on doing wrong but we would be found out sooner rather than later.
People would not ask pointless question like, I am 207lbs do you think this makes me look fat.
We would also not be able to flatter people to get stuff form them as easily.

It's feeding time! Give me the food you were going to give to this tiny ad:
