people are prepping their bladed edges with great care (and then they rust) folks have all manner of outdoor stuff and wondering how to keep the rust off. I  did an extensive and exhausting study on this. You can read about it  at the link below. (Spoiler alert. Hornady one shot, Frog Lube and a custom WD 40  product called corrosion inhibitor are hands down the best options.)

We live in a dry climate, so it's only an issue if some klutz named Doug leaves stuff out in the rain or morning dew.

I usually keep an oily rag (from oil changes; used to be a T-shirt or sock) in the garden shed to wipe down any gear I care deeply about.

When it comes to shovels and hoes, I find the best way to prevent rust is to continually thrust them into the soil.

I'm just seeing this now Ron, what a comparison! Your thoroughness made me feel like I was watching a Project Farm video on Youtube.

It's good to see that both Frog Lube and WD40 specialist are available for me to purchase. Thanks for your hard work researching this topic!
