Hi!

I'm in Northeast Ohio and I wanted to know if anyone has any leads on a very good French Maran breeder, especially one with decently chocolate colored eggs?

Thanks!!

Howdy and welcome to Permies!

Are you looking for a good hatchery? Good quality chickens? Good "Old Fashioned" Marans chickens? Or a particular type of Marans?

There are a lot of mail order hatcheries that carry different Marans and they're all "good" for what they do, to whatever qualifications of good someone might have.

If you're looking for a good local hatchery, Google can be your best friend. [Here's a link to Ohio hatcheries.
You'd need to specify what kind of Marans to get a better answer on the quality of the birds available (and most hatcheries that I checked are out of stock for the near future).
Looking forward to coversations!
