Hey Folks,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the books on earth sheltered homes.

There are a number of them out there, I'm looking for one that has the best information on the technical building details of it.

Cheers

Each has its merits, maybe list them here and feedback may be quicker.
I have a number of books on the topic, but I have collected for many years.

I see I did reply earlier, but it was not clear, sorry.
Can you list what you have been looking at for a start?
We can give you feedback then.
Earth sheltered homes can come in a few technical styles;
- totally in the ground
- partially in ground into a slope
- entirely above ground and covered with soil
Each have their merits and problems.There are a few topics here;
- Hobbit house
- containers under ground.

I think Earth-Sheltered houses by Rob Roy is good. It has a lot of technical detail and takes a more conventional approach to earth sheltered building than Mike Oehler's $50 and Up Underground House book. Here's  my video series of a partially earth-sheltered tiny house build we're finishing up now.
