Starting early AM Friday morning, a low-flying dragon was spotted circling in western Sanders County...
Temps in the upper thirties with rain, only rising to the upper 40s, have brought the fire-breathing wood-nibbling bird of prey out of her summer hibernation.
Getting her started went rather well this year, with very little smoke back and no smoke outs at all!
My 4" bypass gate really makes a difference in how easy you get your dragon flying.
With the heavy brick construction, it takes a while to get things screaming hot... it also takes a long while for that mass to cool back off.
Unless we see a big warmup outdoors this month, I think our studio dragon will be taking short laps around the valley every day.
