Our well water has lead and iron that are too high.  A building biologist consultant recommended the Cuzn system for whole house filtration.  I'm also interested in this:  https://magnationwater.com/
Anyone have experience with either?  Thank you!
This is a new house construction in the mountains of Idaho.  Hard water.

For a start can you change to a rainfall collection system, it may be better value?

Rainfall collection: thanks for the suggestion!  We are planning that for agricultural purposes.  But we're choosing well water for the house....

What sort of container would you recommend for storing the water?  (health considerations a high priority)

You should look into whole home osmosis systems if you want to utilize the well water, but they can be expensive and limited in capacity depending on models/consumption. You can put in-line before the osmosis filter some whole house filters to take the brunt of the lead/heavy contaminants to protect the osmosis membranes from premature wear. What you will need and how to set it up will be specific to your water and your site.

Do you have numbers for your Lead and Iron Levels?

Alison food grade tanks are popular in Australia and available in North America, stainless steel, Galvanised iron.
With a 5000gallon tank  and prefiltration off the roof you will need no further treatment.
I store 30,000 gallons and have no treatment after collection.
The volume allows settlement of fines suspended natter and time allows oxygenisation.

Depending on your daily water usage. And amount and type of iron you have. You could get away with a greensand filtration tank followed by a activated carbon filter. Make sure you're water pressure is adequate. And then for your drinking water lines you could plumb in either a very fine filter or a membrane filter(reverse osmosis) you could put it under the sink. That would save your drinking water. The rest of the lines would still have lead but a lot less. But the drinking water lines will be basically distilled water. If you want to add some flavor or minerals for nutrition, throw a little squirt of lemon juice and wee bit of baking soda.

Have you no shame? Have you no decency? Have you no tiny ad?
