Hi there.

I am interested in studying the GMC.
I understand that, if I wanted the videos recorded in a physical support that I could peruse even if the internet goes nuts, I need the tiny or HD download version. This version comes without the course guide, unlike the streaming version which comes with the guide and some freebies.

A couple of questions.
Do I need the guide? Or is it just as if I were taking notes?
How can I show others that I have acquired the knowledge? Is there any test or a way for certification? Preferably something not involving travelling to the USA.

Also, side question, is there any way to obtain some discount?
Thanks.

If you attend the GMC in person ( https://wheaton-labs.com/garden-master/ ), there will probably be handouts.  And, of course, Helen's book is now in print.

I understand that, if I wanted the videos recorded

I know that Helen says that the new, in person, course is twice as rich as the recorded course ( https://gardenmastercourse.com ) but we have no plans to record the course this year.

This version comes without the course guide, unlike the streaming version which comes with the guide and some freebies.

Now I am super not understanding you.

How can I show others that I have acquired the knowledge?

When you take the in person course, you will present at the end and Helen and I will gauge if you are qualified for certification.

Also, side question, is there any way to obtain some discount?

Right now a person can still get here in time to do the work trade.

Thank you for your answer.

Maybe I should clarify. I cannot travel to the USA in the foreseeable future. Family reasons.
The recorded Garden Master Course is ideal for me. Maybe is not up to date, but I expect it to teach the skills I am looking for.
As I gather from your answer, the recorded videos are not a kind of online learning, in the sense that you do not certificate the knowledge unless attended the course in person.

There are three offers of the recorded videos:
- The bundle: streamed + pdf guide + some freebies (other video tutorials)
- The basic download version.
- The HD download version.
The download versions come without the guide?

Initially, I wasn't interested in certifications, but it happens that I may need to change jobs, gardener being one favourite option. If I were alone, I'd learn anything I need to learn and then offer my services to willing clients who do not care about certifications. But I am not alone. I've been asked to not start on my own, but to learn the job in a gardening company first, This sounds reasonable, except that these companies do care about certification, and especially they want workers to know how to spray toxic stuff (and do it). Because regenerative gardening is still quite unknown around here. The official State course that certificates gardeners is a two years long course, not something I can afford.

I don't know what I will end up doing. This is a pretty radical job change for myself (I work in an office) and wifey is terrified.

We are setting up the system so that people will buy the streaming version (probably the one with the guide - because the guide is really good) and then, if they really want it, they can upgrade to a version of download.

Certification is for taking the class in person.
