I have two jerseys due in june, but 2 days ago after being on green pasture for a week, their udders swelled up and started leaking milk!their udders are huge! One went dry and the other was mostly dry though there was a heifer who still sucked every once in a while up until I don't know when, but not on the other one. They are still skinny from the winter, I hope they are gaining weight! Not sure what to do, I was milking them out once a day because they were just leaking otherwise, but I decided not to milk just yet this morning until I get opinions!

Do you have Periwinkle (Vinca minor) growing there?

According to "The Complete Herbal Handbook For Farm And Stable", periwinkle is an old peasant's way to dry off an animal in the last months of pregnancy.

This dosage is for goats (so I would double it for cows):
One and a half handfuls of leaves & flowers brewed in 2 pints of water.
Give one cup morning, and evening.

Good luck.
