I'm beginning my journey or at least researching the possibility and as a homeschooler I'll be bringing my clan in on the action as well. Any recommendations/advice for us? Thanks!

Ashley,

We home school as well. This is our first year, and have not started the bee's yet (only a few more weeks). But I can tell you my girls are excited about it. They have been involved with a lot of the things. We will have window's on some of ours, but after a while the windows may not be useful as the comb get's built up. So I plan to try and use a camera as well.

Thank you for the link on the beginner page, I'll check it out. Windows on the hive, brilliant!

When our kids were little we always went to childrens museums. I cannot remember were it was but there was one that had a hive built into an outside wall of the building, with a big window on the inside of the building, that was awesome. The bees could not get to you, as thier only entrance to the hive was from outside.
