Hi everyone!

I desire to live closer to the land again.

I did it for many years mostly off grid in the FL keys, but also in the panhandle, northern New Mexico, and north California.

After my partner and I split up about 5 years ago I joined the world, so now I have great credit! 😆

But I also feel very disconnected and too wrapped up in the concrete jungle. I am at a transition time.

I am finishing up a PDC course this month and would love to continue my education. I have no hands on experience yet!

Community and friends, a social life are very important. I'd love to find my tribe. But of course I'm posting here because maybe there's a partner that wants to do life harmoniously with me.

I'm shy, it takes me a while to open up. If we don't laugh together it ain't gonna work homes! Sense of humor, morals and values must align. Honor is very important to me.

I've been single a little over a year and I've learned to really enjoy my own company. I'd prefer someone who doesn't jump from one to the next and has had a period of solitude.

Doesn't hurt to put myself out there a little bit, and this site seems friendly enough. I just can't bring myself to join a dating app.

I dont have social media either.

I am 33 years old, no children. I work in the hospitality industry and I'm good at it so if you don't tip your  waitress buzz off! 😶
I am a born and raised Floridian.

I love wilderness camping, backpacking, traveling, ballet, classical music, poetry, shakespeare, baking, cooking, spontaneous adventure, I was a very good free diver for many years,

Locations where my heart feels strangely home: smoky mountains of Tennessee, Powell river BC, Taos, NM, and key Biscayne/everglades, FL.

I'm on the petite side. 5'3" blue eyes, reddish hair.
My Ancestry is scottish, Irish, nw European, Scandinavian, and Jewish.

I will send a photo.

Thanks!

I'm a humble, simple gal. Genuine, true, and of course a hot damn mess at the same time. We all are right?! 😆

Rose 🌹

You seem like an interesting woman. My name is Ben, I’m 39 in Texas with no children and I have similar dreams and goals. Although I prefer the Rockies over the Smoky Mountains. Hopefully that’s not a deal breaker. Attached is a personal photo below. Hope to hear back from you. Take care.

Hey Rose! : )

I also desire to live closer to the land. I want to wake up and have my morning coffee on the deck overlooking my own land and smell the pine trees surrounding home as the sun rises over them each morning.

I have been wanting to homestead for a long time, and in a previous relationship that was a shared plan, and although that relationship ended in 2021 my dream of a homestead has only grown.

I grew all over Northern, CA.

I have been researching the Sierra Foothills and looking at properties in several areas, which are beautiful and have a lot going for them as far as resources and natural beauty and outdoor recreation, rivers, and lakes.

I too don't like the feel of the concrete jungle and strongly desire to homestead as soon as possible. I am patiently waiting to find a woman who has shared values and interests to share in this adventure. Someone who will be as passionate about this as I am.

I have been saving and investing for some time and it is all coming to maturation and ready to put into motion very soon.

I plan to build small cabins, A-frames, yurts or other structures of varying types to short term rent via AirBnB and considering hosting retreats, educational events such as permaculture, bush crafting/primitive skills, possibilities are endless.

I have a very detailed vision.

I agree on the value of community and friends, and I'd love to find my partner in all this to do life with.

I've been single for the larger part of the past 3 years with brief dating and I have been very intentional about dating in that I am not looking for casual or short term, I am not wasting anyones time, including my own. I too have learned to enjoy and value my own company and with that comes resiliency.

The dating apps are mostly ineffective to find the type of woman I seek, people like us are in the minority.

I am 46 years old, no children. I am a Registered Nurse, Masters of Science in Nursing, been working in health care since I was 21, with a ton of valuable experience that is useful outside of work also. I recently completed Root Cause Protocol Institute Consultant Program and am working on launching a health Coaching business online.

I love camping, backpacking, hiking, travel, overlanding, 4x4, SCUBA, snorkel, kayaking, Mt. Biking, all types of music classic rock, country, reggae, blues, Motown, ambient, and latin (including classical music, which I listen to regularly 😉), cooking & grilling, road trips, board games/word games, reading, online business and entrepreneurial pursuits, bushcraft and primitive skills, preparedness, firearms, emergency medicine, history, weight training, hot vinyasa yoga, and so much more.

Location: I am in Northern California and I live a couple hours drive in the middle of my parents who are starting to get a but older and I am planning to stay here. I have many likeminded friends in the region too, which are hard to find here sometimes. So I have community here, and some very skilled friends and family to help on the homestead journey. I am excited about a particular property and looking at some soon. I am going to look at a parcel of land next weekend with a creek, waterfalls, well, natural spring, gold mine dating back to the 1849 gold rush, with mineral rights and all kinds of other amazing features.

I am fit, lean and 5' 9" 165 lbs. brown eyes, dark brown hair. I'll try to attach photos.

My Ancestry is Sicilian 50% (Italy), Spanish, Novajo tribe mixed with Spanish conquistadors in New Mexico(there is a town with my last name there), and Irish.

I am very transparent, direct in my communication, I am fair to other people (and fair to myself), Justice minded. I am honorable and I do what is right. You can rely on me. I turn down bad matches. I am not in a rush to get physical or get a girlfriend as fast as possible. I want the right fit and the right connection. I am dedicated to my mission of the life I want to build. Which means I must first have a vision of the life I want to build. I want to invite a woman into my vision. This of course will be influenced and shaped as changes to needs shift from me to us. I believe that everything you do, should in large part be in service to your vision. I want a long-term committed relationship with a woman where we are devoted to each other, loyal, loving, supportive and lots of fun and laughter. I would love to have a home and children, where I want to work and earn, and my wife can choose to not work a job and be at home with those children and myself, our homestead will generate income, I want her to be fulfilled in that role, I want to be providing for them, both financial, physical and emotional safety and security.

I'll leave it at that lol, phew I know I can be intense and that was kind of a novel. I promise I can be chill too 😂

Ben

Hi Rose!
Looks like you’ve got a lot of interest and I wish you well in your search. I just couldn’t help dropping a note on your post. I gave up a long time ago and have found being sort of alone helps cultivate my hermit image! My life companion is named Rose also. She’s a German Pit Retriever that’s a hot mess too! But she’s the sweetest thing. To me. She  seems to hate everyone else.
Once again good luck but I’ll leave you with a few pictures. If I make you laugh a little today then I have accomplished my mission.

I'm looking for responses to me looking for such. I want others with me growing things for what we need, having sustainable ways to become independent that way as a small community.

Have you already found someone to homestead with?

I currently live in IN, but just took a job in anchorage, AK.

I'm heading up there in a couple months and am seeking someone like minded. Whether it's a romantic connection or a friendly one, I don't mind. I'm more worried about having someone to help out on the homestead that isn't afraid of sweat and dirt.

If your interested, let me know and we can discuss details.

-Benjamin
